A Small Change In Diet Makes A Difference If You Want To Lose Weight

You may want to lose weight and like many have struggled with traditional ‘on and off’ dieting. If that’s the case a recent report released by King’s College in London offers hope and a different approach. It is one that we have successfully used at New farm Hypnotherapy Clinic for many years.

The report suggests that middle-aged people who cut down on fatty meat, butter and cakes can cut their risk of a heart attack by a third in just three months.

People who modified their diet slightly lowered their blood pressure, cholesterol and heart rate while at the same time losing weight and becoming slimmer around the waist.

This is an approach that we have taken with clients who want to lose weight for many years and hypnosis is a very effective way of changing your eating habits both in quantity and quality of food consumed.

Of the 162 people involved in the study half ate a traditional diet including white bread, red meat and full fat dairy products while the other had were given a diet modelled on advice provided by the National Health Service. In part he second group were advise to chose lean cuts of meat, eat five portions of fruit and vegetables while cutting down on soft drinks and cakes.

After three months the second group had lost lost weight and reduced their waist measurement. Reductions in blood pressure, blood rate and cholesterol were also observed. Researchers showed that this could cut the risk of heart attack by 30% and dying of one by 15%.
